Note- This project is advanced. Be sure to ask an adult
for help when ironing and assembling your treasure chest.
Moms and Dads: Be sure to not over iron your bead
segments as this will make assembly difficult.
Snap together the four sides and bottom panel of your treasure chest.
Organize your lid segments as shown here, making sure
the four "hinge beads" are all on the same side of the lid.
To hold the lid segments together, carefully push
twist ties through the bead holes as shown.
Once through, simply crimp the twist tie ends
to hold the lid tightly together.
Attach the lid to the box using two short strands of twist tie.
Use the photo above as reference for assembly.
Add the side handles and key
to your treasure chest.
Create Perler "coins" by ironing
an assortment of beads into
flat disks.
Add the Perler skulls and
your design is complete!
For added detail, we curled
a small piece of paper
into a scroll to create
a treasure map!
